Design

Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to build and construct the Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, rather than using the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spots.
At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities with an exclusive example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include the key with a special design that shows a portion of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
